TYNGSBORO – The Academy of Notre Dame will provide Summer Fun for Everyone — free, virtual programs for area children, in grades prekindergarten to 8, to help ensure they have fun, enriching activities over the summer.
A full spectrum of 17 classes, ranging from juggling to chess to playwriting will begin July 6. “With so many summer programs and vacations canceled, we want to ensure that our students and our neighboring children have the opportunity to socialize, learn new skills and have fun,” Head of School Vittoria Pacifico said.
Students must preregister at www.ndatyngsboro.org/summerfun. Each session lists the target audience age, days and times the session will be offered, as well as a list of supplies needed to participate. Instructor qualifications are also listed on the website.
For safety and security purposes, each session will be recorded. All instructors have undergone a background check to be a presenter for the program. “We know that the last few months have been very difficult, especially for children,” Pacifico said. “Summer Fun at NDA is one way we can help to ensure that all students have the opportunity to be engaged, socializing and learning new skills.”
The program is free for all. To learn more, visit www.ndatyngsboro.org/summerfun.
