Sean Thibeault of Dracut earlier this year achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting.
Sean started as a Cub Scout in Den 8, Pack 8, in Dracut and joined Dracut Troop 25 as a Boy Scout. He completed his Eagle project last November, just before his 18th birthday. Sean saw a need at Central Congregational Church in North Chelmsford. The stairs to the parsonage were in disrepair and not usable. Sean approached Pastor Steven Burkett, who was happy to have the church be the beneficiary of his Eagle project.
Sean’s project was to build a new set of stairs and railings to the parsonage. Sean also landscaped, removed bushes and built a beautiful brick walkway in the front of the house. Sean’s Eagle adviser was Ned Judge, and his mentor for the project was David Thibeault.
The following businesses and individuals generously aided Sean through donations, supplies and volunteer work: Port Electronics of New Hampshire; Sherburne Lumber of Tyngsboro; Dracut Hardware; Lone Pine Landscaping of Dracut; Jay’s Handyman Service of Lowell; New England Cement Block of Dracut; Michael Allard of Dracut; Zachary, Brian and Michael Cook of Dracut; Manuel Arevalo of Lowell; James and Cheryl Concannon; Larry and Laurie Thibeault; Irene and Steve Nowe; David and Liz Decker; Leah Concannon Mayer; Annette Langkopf; James and Diane Decker; Jack Nee; Robert Rhodes; and Jamie and Julian Thibeault.
