DRACUT — Police search for two suspects caught breaking into Dracut Town Variety on security footage early Saturday morning.

In footage released by the store’s owner, two suspects who appear to be masked are seen crawling around the floor. The burglary occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday, according to Dracut Police Chief Peter Bartlett.

Scratch tickets, alcohol, assorted cigarettes and the cash register — which contained about $250 in cash — were stolen from Dracut Town Variety at 1734 Lakeview Ave., Bartlett said.

Earlier that day, around 1 a.m., about $250 worth of vaping liquid was stolen from New England Vapors at 718 Merrimack Ave., according to Bartlett.

It is unknown at this time whether the two incidents are related, Bartlett said. In both incidents, a glass panel was removed from the front door to allow entry to the building.

Dracut police urge anyone with information regarding either incident to contact detectives at 978-957-2123.
