Dracut shook off an early Lawrence goal and went on to grab a 3-1 victory in MVC boys soccer action on Thursday.

Elsewhere, Concord-Carlisle blanked Westford Academy, 2-0, in a Dual County League battle.

In the 21st minute, sophomore forward Cameron Downer scored from senior midfielder Matt Robichaud. Senior midfielder Zack Walton, set up by junior forward Brendan Davis, made it 2-0 in the 26th minute.

Dracut (5-0-1, 5-0 MVC) went up 3-1 in the 77th minute when Davis set up sophomore defender Dan Robichaud.

Goalkeeper Graham Shank had 4 saves for Dracut. He was helped by junior defenders James Meli and Alex Augusta.

Mike Repucci had a goal and 2 assists, and Jared Rizzo and Jason Myers netted 2 goals each for Shawsheen.

Gavin Pigott and Amaan Shaikh also scored for the Rams.

On the strength of a pair of goals from Cameron Corsino, host Matignon defeated Innovation Academy in Cambridge.

Innovation’s goal was tallied by Chris Candor following an assist by Marco Savi. Innovation fell to 3-3.

Greater Lowell dropped to 3-2-3.

Milad Amiri, Jared Marchand and Carlos Nicolau had a strong game for the Gryphons.

After trailing, 2-0, at the half, Chelmsford (6-1) came back to earn the tough road win Wednesday.

Tied at 2-2 with five minutes left, both teams fought hard looking for the go-ahead goal, which came for Chelmsford with just 3:18 on the clock when Evan Wang flicked a loose ball in the box with the outside of his foot to find the back of the net.

The Lions came out of the half and scored their first goal just four minutes in when Josh Ofosu connected with a corner kick sent by Wang. With just six minutes left in play, Chelmsford took a free kick, which got lose in the box and junior Bryce Borletto-McCray was able to connect and rocket one to the back of the net, scoring his first on the season.

Chelmsford locked down the defensive effort and held off Lowell the rest of the way.
