After a scoreless first half, Dracut’s Leah Durkin finally found the net to propel the Middies to a 1-0 win over Methuen in girls soccer action on Friday.

Senior MaKendra Looney assisted on the goal for Dracut High.

Goalkeeper Brooke Boemeester made 7 saves for the shutout for Dracut. Jessica Gooch and Katherine Morissette also played well.

Alvirne 1

Alvirne’s Ashley Lecomte scored a goal with 32 seconds left in the game to tie the game and force overtime, but Dover scored the game-winner on a free kick from 25 yards out early in the first OT period.

The Broncos played solid team defense all day but were unable to convert some quality scoring chances.

AHS will host Merrimack Thursday.
