Lowell man arrested following Dracut chase arraigned


LOWELL — A Lowell man police arrested following a chase in Dracut on Wednesday is being held on $5,000 cash bail.

Johnny Luna, 39, is charged with breaking and entering putting a person in fear, larceny from a building, possession of burglarious tools, malicious destruction of property under $250, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Prosecutors say Luna broke into a home on Hildreth Street.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office, Dracut police received a call about suspicious persons running through back yards on Hildreth Street about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Officers responding to the call saw Luna, who was chased and arrested by a Dracut officer, the DA’s office said.

Judge Barbara Pearson ordered Luna’s bail revoked on an open case out of Middlesex Superior Court.

Luna’s next hearing is set for April 4.
