DRACUT — The Rotary Club is bringing back its “Dining Around Dracut” event after hosting the fundraiser for the first time last year.

The large event, which brings together local restaurants to showcase their food for those in attendance, is set to take place Monday, March 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Lenzi’s, 810 Merrimack Ave., Dracut.

“As of now, we have 31 restaurants,” LouAnn Jendro, public-relations chair for the Rotary Club, said last week. “We have a couple of caterers signed up to participate, and that’s a few more than last year. We’re excited about it. We started planning this year’s event probably in April of last year.”

Participating restaurants in Dining Around Dracut this year include A-Brews Tap & Grill and Owen & Ollie’s Restaurant and Pub, both in Dracut, and Tyngsboro restaurants Bahama Breeze and Cazadores Restaurante Mexicano.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at or in person as Szczepanik Insurance, A’s Tux Formal, Daigle Insurance, Dracut Hardware, Alexander’s Pharmacy and The Fox Cut Salon.

Jendro said the fundraiser benefits all the charities the Rotary Club is requested to support, including international projects as well as individual requests.

“We’re excited to do it,” said Chuck Moran, president of the Dracut Rotary Club. “Last year was very well attended, and we certainly hope that the community supports it again with attendance.”

The Dracut Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide service organization of business and professional men and women whose mission is to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build good will and peace throughout the world.
