DA: Man dies following incident on Dracut church property

DRACUT — A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at an area hospital on Saturday shortly after he was discovered critically injured on the property of Saint Francis Church.

The incident is not considered suspicious, according to Elizabeth Vlock, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

“As this death is not considered suspicious, no additional information will be released,” Vlock stated in an email late Saturday night.

State Police responded to the church on Wheeler Street shortly after 1 p.m.

The incident garnered ample attention on social media, with people questioning the medical and police presence at the church, which had caution tape blocking a portion of its parking lot.
