Durkin netted her goal 20 minutes into the second half.

Seniors Melissa Iannuzzo, Amanda Bakas and Olivia Pantano had great games for Dracut. Goalkeeper Brooke Boermeester made 8 saves to shut down Chelmsford.

Needham 0

Lowell resident Elayna Grillakis netted 2 more goals and added 2 assists as the Raiders improved to 12-0-1.

Ashley Raphael also scored twice and assisted once. Sarah Freeman also found the back of the net.

Caitlin Regan and Brooke Hernon had an assist each. Sharing the shutout in goal were Mary Gerard (3 saves) and Isabel Majewski (1 save).


At the Manhattan Invitational on Saturday, the Lowell High girls finished second in the JV ‘C’ race.

Running well for Lowell were Annie Rizos (18th, 18:01), Sarah Ames (20th, 18:06), Zil Bhagat (21st, 18:16), Erin McCabe (26th, 18:26) and Anna Woodblock (30th, 18:33).

It’s Lowell’s first top three finish at this meet.

Lowell Catholic is now 6-3-3 overall, 6-0-2 in league play.

Guillaume Salinque, Sean Cunningham and Aidan Donaghey each had a goal. Brandon Silva and Aaron Dartey had an assist.
