Sophomore Jake Callery had himself a game to remember, scoring all four Dracut goals in a 4-4 tie against Wayland, including the game-tying tally with 8 seconds left to play with the Middies’ goaltender pulled.

Junior Adam Berger notched 4 assists, while Nate Lapointe and Kyle McManus chipped in with 2 assists each.

In a 4-2 loss to Lowell High at the Tsongas Center, Dracut received goals from Nate Lapointe and Alex Bogohossian.


The Middies lost to Athol, 34-27, Westford Academy, 54-24, Quabbin Regional, 42-18, and King Philip, 54-28, at Quabbin’s Midland Duals. AJ Desmarais led the way for Dracut, going 4-0 at 195 with four pins. Triple-winners for the Middies were Zack Lakmany (132, 1 pin) and Devin Lambert (138, 2 pins).

Girls basketball

The Middies had some strong performances in a pair of losses, 50-20 against North Andover, and 51-27 against Central Catholic.

Melissa Iannuzzo scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds, and freshman guard Ashleigh Cox had 6 points and 3 rebounds in the North Andover loss, while in the loss to Central Catholic, Iannuzzo netted 11 points and hauled down 6 rebounds, and Julia Otoski finished with 6 points. The young Lady Middies squad stayed close in the 1st half before the experienced Lady Raiders pulled away.
