Dracut native Raymond Keefe flew from Arizona to California just to see “Price is Right” host Drew Carey.
He left with so much more.
On Monday, Keefe won $100,000 on “The Price is Right” during Big Money Week.
Keefe, from Dracut High’s Class of 1990, played the game “1/2 Off,” in which one of 16 boxes contains $100,000. He had to guess the prices of appliances, including an iron and electric toothbrush.
Two boxes remained, and he picked box No. 12. Keefe lifted up the box, and there was $100,000 in cash inside.
He ran in celebration, fell to his knees, rolled on his back, and put his hands on his head in utter disbelief.
“Hello fellow Dracuteers!!! So this happened recently!!!,” he wrote on Facebook. “Not that I’m bragging… okay… I am, but it’s big news for this old Dracut native Class of 1990!!! Hi Mom and Dad!!!! I am overwhelmed with gratitude today!! I’ve just given new meaning to the term ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing)!!!”
