PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

Dozens of hardy souls will brave more than 2 feet of snow and February temperatures to jump into the waters of Long Pond in Dracut on Sunday, Feb. 8, for the fourth annual BSM 13 Polar Plunge Revenge of the Ice Princess. The plunge, which raises money for the American Cancer Society, was founded by Mike “Marino” Marchionda, who lost both his parents to cancer. Each plunger raises moneyfrom donations. This year, part of the
proceeds from T-shirts made and sold with the help of Dracut Threads will go to the event. Call Dracut Threads at 978-710-3501.
