DRACUT — The Rotary Club of Dracut is seeking applications for participation in the eighth annual Gingerbread House Competition to be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Harmony Hall. The competition is open to four groups: professionals, amateurs, young adults ages 13-19, and children up to age 12, including classrooms. Entries must be edible and become property of the Rotary Club of Dracut for its raffle.
Entries must be dropped off at Harmony Hall, Lakeview Avenue, between 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. Gingerbread houses will be on display from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Admission, music, snacks, coffee and cocoa are free. Santa Claus will be dropping by from 5 to 7 p.m., so bring your cameras.
Winners will be notified Saturday evening or Sunday, Dec. 7. Houses may be picked up Saturday night at Harmony Hall or from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.
Prizes of $75, $50 and $25 will be awarded to the top three voted entries in each category.
