In Dracut Junior League girls softball play, the Angels defeated the Dodgers 18-7. The Angels were paced offensively by Emma Rossino, who went 3 for 3 with two doubles and four RBI’s. Also hitting the ball well were Kayleen Durand and Morgan Bilodeau. Abigail Marchioda was the winning pitcher, giving up three earned runs while striking out two. Amy Lupien had a strong game defensively with numerous put outs and a big double play — catching a hot line shot to third base and making a strong throw to Kaitlyn Sullivan at first base to double up the runner. Jess St. George, Samantha Vitale and Heather Goldthwait played well defensively in this big win for the Angels.
