Zach Lakmany ran the ball hard, getting in for two touchdowns, with quarterback Ryan Talbot making the XP in his first DPW game.

Blocking well on the offense were Austin Chausse, Andrew Desmarais, Patrick Canney, Keegan Bishop-Kortarba and Josh Salem. On defense, Jacob Enwright, David Seamans, Jacob Golden and Matt Morris delivered some explosive tackles. Dracut worked hard and played as a team. Well played game by all.

D-Blue started off the season with a big win over Chelmsford in an overtime battle.

Matt Rossetti rushed for three touchdowns and Lucas Ibarquen ran for over 100 yards. Also, Sloan Cater and Peter Sawyer and Ian Nichols had some positive yardage, while Colin Saunders, Alex Reis and Nick Zeoli all kept the Chelmsford defense away from the backfield.

On the defensive side of the ball, Michael Canney, Peter Sawyer and Michael Tusa all recovered fumbles. Defensive ends Noah Tierney-Honan and Cameron O’Brien kept the pressure on Chelmsford’s quarterback. The secondary was locked down all day by Xavier Faria and Elijah Monette.

D-White won their first game of the season, led by their quarterback, Mario Silva. He consistantly drove the ball downfield to Shawn McGuire, who scored three touchdowns, one being a 70-yard run, and ran in an extra point. Devin Lambert scored one touchdown and added the extra point twice. Ray Laurin also scored his first touchdown of the season. Yanluis Gonzalez also ran great for the offense.

The strong defense held Chelmsford back until the very last quarter because of outstanding tackles by Aiden McCarthy, Kyle Proulx, Mattew Simpson, Nathan and Devin Lambert, Silvio DeMartino and Maxwell Barton.

The Dracut Mitey Mites had a solid outing against a talented Chelmsford Cougar team Sunday at McCarthy field. Dracut was led on offense by a great blocking effort from Lucas Enwright , Conner Lash, Nathan Palladino, Jason Golden, Rocco Gerraci, Alex Salois and Jacob Pynn. All opened running lanes for Brian Mwagni, Timin Carter, Joshua Gagnon, Jacob Trezinski and Lincoln Beal. Trezinski and Beal notched two touchdowns each, with Jacob Truong throwing for two completions, one to receiver Riley Nichols early in the second half. Scoring was finished up by Kia McDonald on a blazing end around.

Dracut’s stellar defensive effort was anchored by its revolving front four of Aiden Bernier, Aiden Saunders, Anthony Reviera, Anthony Cavilaro, Zack Hudon and Christian Barros, The shutdown plays of linebackers, Kevin Obien, Nicholas Sawyer, Victor Melndez and Yanniel Gonzalez sealed Dracut’s victory
