DRACUT — The Dracut Boys Travel League recently held its year-end party for the fourth- through eighth-grade teams at the American Legion Hall in Dracut. All the teams were recognized for their efforts and successes on the court. The sixth-grade boys were applauded for winning the Merrimack Valley Championship. Special thanks to the folks from the Dracut American Legion for their donation of the hall and to Romano’s for the outstanding pizza.

The Middies played hard and gave outstanding effort in every game as the team hustled and executed well with contributions from all players. They dove for loose balls, picked up floor burns and some bumps and bruises along the way as they fought to the end of every contest and never gave up. The team played with good sportsmanship while earning the respect of their opponents. The boys thanked their parents, family members and all the volunteers, as well as Coach Bill Monette and Coach Mike Patterson, who helped make this season successful.
