Dracut 4, Burlington 0

Coaches comments: It was a well-played game for both teams, this first game of the season.

Dracut had a good showing on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Drew Martin and Jacob Freitas couldn’t be touched in goal because of the help of Alex Augusta, Jack Leahy and Dave Mallahan.

Offensively, many players contributed strongly, including Quint Nuttoli, Tyler Eld, Ryan McCann, Tyler Flick, and Matt Martineau.


Dracut 4, Chelmsford 0

Draven Chappel (2), Cody Contarino and David Kim scored for Dracut.

Goalies Mark Murray and Kenny Reis shared the shutout.

Coaches comments: With the team shorthanded with injuries and illnesses, the boys came out and a had a true team win. They controlled the game on both offense and defense to claim their first victory of the season.

Dracut 6, Burlington 1

Chris Berard (3), Kyle Marshall, Mark Murray, and Shawn Plouffe scored for Dracut, while Kenny Reis and Mark Murray split the goalie duties.

Dracut took a quick lead in the game and never looked back. They built a 6-0 lead before Burlington scored their only goal. They are off to a fast start with two wins on the season and look to build on this the rest of the season.



Dracut 3, Wilmington 3

Melissa Heitzman, Rachael Monette and Nicole Santos scored for Dracut, while Lauren Dauteuil earned an assist.

Rachael Flores turned in a strong game in goal.

Coaches comments: The game was a back and forth battle with each team taking turns scoring to end in a 3-3 tie.

The first goal was a powerful shot from outside the penalty box by midfielder Melissa Heitzman just over the Wilmington goalie’s fingertips. The second goal was a well-directed free kick from outside the penalty box by defender Rachael Monette.

The third Dracut goal came off of a great cross from Lauren Dauteuil, which landed at the foot of Nicole Santos, who skillfully touched the ball out of reach of the goalkeeper and finished it in the back of the net.
