GIRLS

U14-2

Dracut 1, Billerica 0

Taylor Depalo scored the game-winner for Dracut, with an assist by Nicole Santos.

Rachael Flores and Joni Hill split the goaltending chores.

Coaches comments: The U14-2 team ended their season with a big win over Billerica on Saturday. Both keepers, Rachael Flores and Joni Hill, made some phenomenal saves. The defense stayed strong throughout the game with great effort from sweepers Katie Dickson and Rachael Monette, outside backs Caleigh Collamer, Tori Roberts and Jamie Norman, and stoppers Jordan Gauthier and Melissa Heitzman.

The midfield ran hard all day supporting both the defense and offensive attack. Central midfielders Keirsten Mcelhinney, Nicole Santos and Rachael Flores and outside midfielders Lauren Dauteuil, Kaitlyn Dube and Taylor Depalo were vital in the victory.

A beautiful left-footed shot from Taylor Depalo provided the winning goal in the second half. Forwards Emily Sargent, Patricia Ramirez and Joni Hill kept heavy pressure on the Billerica defense, keeping the momentum with the Dracut team right to the end.
