Jessica McHugh scored Dracut;s goal, with an assist by Kasey Martin. Goalie Courtney Lanier held Billerica to a single tally.

Coaches comments: Dracut and Billerica played a close defensive game with Billerica taking a1-0 lead into the second half. Dracut tied the game on a cross from Kasey Martin to Jess McHugh. Dracut had several chances to take the lead but Billerica held strong. Great Defensive game from Kayla Fregeole and Nicole McInnerney.

Dracut 6, Reading 1

Andrea Ramirez led the offense with three goals, while Rachael Monette, Selena Hansen and Vicky Shaw rounded out the scoring.

Lillie McGary, Lauren Dauteuil, Alex Damico,Caitlyn Dion and Hansen posted assists. Andrea Ramirez and Sam Carmany split the goaltending chores.

Coaches comments: Great team defense by Sam Carmany, Kaitlyn Dube, Karina Mackey, Patricia Ramirez and Melissa Heitzman

U12-1

Dracut 2, Wilmington 1

Val Hines and Jess Carnevale scored for Dracut, while Kendra Kukulski notched an assist.

Rebecca Fisher and Rachel Flores split time in goal.

Coaches comments: A strong opening-game performance by the entire Dracut team in a very physical but clean game. Emma Daly, Kayla Gooch, Keirsten Mcelhinney, Rachel Santos and Jessica Carnevale led the strong defensive effort that limited the number of Wilmington shots on goal.

The offensive attack was led by Shaye Lane, Lauren Chapman, Emily Tierney, Caleigh Collamer, Joni Hill and Hailey Cockroft. An overall impressive opening-game win against one of the best teams in the division.

U10-4

Dracut 2, Medford 0

Jessica Sartori and Shannon Rich scored for Dracut, with assists by Kyleigh Dowling and Amie Yang.

Goalies Mikhaela Pepin and Shauna Currie preserved the shutout.

Great defense and hard play by Emma Sancartier, Samantha Havel, Isabella Bottigi and Ashley Grimes.

Season record: 1-1.

BOYS

U10-3

Dracut 1, Tewksbury 1

Kyle Hould, with an assist from Kobi Lane, accounted fro the Dracut scoring.

Kyle McManus and Matthew Robichaud shared the goalie chores.

Coaches comments: Dracut followed up an opening-game win with a draw against a strong Tewksbury team. The Dracut defense was hung tough, with good play by Zachary Walton, Peter Sawyer, Matthew Robichaud and Kevin Sawyer.

Offensively the team was able to move the ball downfield and tie the game in the second half, with outstanding passing by Kyle McManus, Conner Jones, Tristan Correia, Kobi Lane and Kyle Hould. This was a complete team effort that led to numerous shots on goals and a well-earned draw.
