COA LEGACIES CONTEST: The Dracut Council on Aging is again sponsoring the “Legacies” contest, a writing competition open to all seniors; contestants may choose from among five categories — veterans memories, a challenge in your life, a story for your great-grandchildren, a spiritual experience, or a funny or sentimental story; contest rules stipulate that entries may be no more than three, 8.5-by-11 inch pages long; entries may be typed, legibly written or on a disc, and contestants must put name, phone number and category on each entry; contestants may enter as many categories as they wish; deadline for entries is March 26; send entries to the Dracut Council On Aging, 951 Mammoth Road, Dracut, Attention: Legacies; an awards ceremony will be held April 9 at noon, followed by a luncheon.
