Dracut played tough with a big win against Peabody. Leading the team with points was Sarah Myers with 8, while Sydney Oliveria and Rebecca Fisher each added 6 points. Both Emily Tierney and Shaye Lane each contributed 3 points and finishing it off was Valerie Hines, Adriana Martinez and Lauren Chapman with 2 points each. The win improves the team’s record to 11-2.
Dracut won its fourth game in a row with a 29-26 victory over Wakefield. The Lady Middies had their highest offensive output of the season as eight players scored.
Jaxy Marquez led the balanced attack with 9 points. Hailey Noel (5), Kayla Gooch (4), Erica Clark (4), Ashli McInnis (2), Rachel Santos (2), Amanda Bishop (2) and Lindsey Emond (1) rounded out the scoring for Dracut.
Sarah Beaton and Julia Otoski rebounded well for Dracut, and Hailey Cockroft made several steals.
Erica Clark had a great game for Dracut, scoring 6 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, blocks four shot and making 4 steals in a nail-biter against Masco.
Jaxy Marquez scored 5 points, with Kayla Gooch and Rachel Santos each scoring a basket. Hailey Noel ruled the boards with 8 rebounds, and Amanda Bishop pulled down 3. Meghan Carney and Ashli McInnis each had 2 steals for the Lady Middies. Hailey Cockroft, Lindsey Emond, Sarah Beaton and Julia Otoski played well as Dracut almost pulled out a win.

Dan Zabbo scored 17 points while Zack Mellonakos and Curtis Clark each scored 10 to help Dracut over Tewksbury. Gabriel Morales (8 points), David Bonilla (6 points) and Owen McAnespie (6 points) also helped lead the Dracut offense. Adam Barbosa and Noah Teperow also played well.

Curtis Clark and Gabriel Morales each scored 12 points and Dan Zabbo added 11 to lead the Dracut offense. Billy Machado (6 points) and David Bonilla (6 points) also played well for Dracut.
With this win Dracut clinched first place while improving to 14-0 in the Merrimack Valley Central Division and 26-5 overall.
Hollis, N.H. 41
Mitchell Monette led the Middie offense with 17 points. Marcus Brum added 4 points and Kevin Carney had a nice shot from downtown.
Chris Nugent collected 4 rebounds with James Fazio and Nick Desimone pulling down a pair each. Nik Carter and Ethan Nicholson applied good defensive pressure throughout the game.
Hampstead, N.H. 50
Marcus Brum had an outstanding game for Dracut, scoring 18 points in a well-played 50-33 loss to Hampstead.
Mitchell Monette chipped in with 11 points and Chris Nugent added 4. James Fazio, Nick Desimone and Nik Carter had multiple rebounds for the shorthanded Middies squad against a much bigger team.
Hooksett, N.H. 34
Dracut ended its season by finishing fourth in its bracket of the Manchester, N.H. Suburban Basketball League with a spirited 34-21 loss to Hooksett.
Middies guard Nick Desimone led the way with 8 points. Mitchell Monette (7), Marcus Brum (4) and Chris Nugent (2) finished off the scoring for Dracut. Kevin Carney grabbed 5 rebounds and James Fazio had a pair of steals. Nik Carter had his customary great defensive game.
Coach Bill Monette remarked, “From start of season to finish, the boys gave their all and never quit. I’m proud of their efforts and hard work. For a team made up by a majority of third-graders, we were competitive in the majority of our games. Thanks guys for a great season!
