EIGHTH GRADE

Dracut Blue 66 Methuen 60

Dan Zabbo scored 20 points and David Bonilla added 14 to help Dracut, the top team in the Central Division, edge second-place Methuen.

Zack Mellonakos, Adam Gagnon, Adam Barbosa and Noah Teperow also played well for Dracut.

Dracut Blue 45 Wilmington Blue 31

Dan Zabbo scored 15 points, Curtis Clark had 10 and Zack Mellonakos added 8 for Dracut. Owen McAnespie and Noah Teperow also played well.

Dracut Blue 57 Andover Gold 20

Curtis Clark scored 21 points and Dan Zabbo had 14 to lead Dracut. Adam Gagnon scored 10 points, while Adam Barbosa, Gabriel Morales and David Bonilla each had 4.

FOURTH GRADE

Hampstead (N.H.) 49 Dracut 23

Mitchell Monette led the Middies with 17 points, including hitting 3 out of 4 free throws. Kevin Carney and Chris Nugent both had 2 points. Nik Carter and Jalen Ortiz hit free throws. Nick Desimone, James Fazio and Nathan O’Brien helped out on the defensive end.

Dracut 19 Auburn (N.H.) 18

Chris Nugent banked home a clutch basket with 38 seconds left, as Dracut won a thriller in its final game of the league season.

Mitchell Monette (8) and Marcus Brum (7) combined for 15 points. Kevin Carney (5) and Jalen Ortiz (4) snared several key rebounds during the contest. Nik Carter and James Fazio both had 2 steals. Nick Desimone and Nathan O’Brien helped the Middies with their best defense game of the year.

“This was a complete team effort,” said coach Bill Monette. “I’m thrilled with the progress the boys have made.”

GIRLS

FIFTH GRADE

Dracut, 19 Melrose 11

Dracut won an electrifying game. Erica Clark led the Lady Middies offense with 8 points in the paint. Jaxy Marquez scored 5, Hailey Cockroft added 4 and Kayla Gooch made a basket.

Meghan Carney ripped down 6 rebounds and Amanda Bishop had 2 rebounds. Sarah Beaton and Hailey Noel each had 3 steals, while Sarah Wilson made a pair of steals. Lindsey Emond, Ashli McInnis, Julia Otoski, and Rachel Santos helped Dracut keep the winning streak going.
