I just wanted to share with you some highlights of the most AMAZING youth baseball game…possibly the best baseball game in history…39 runs across home plate!

I don’t know how often that happens in the major/minor leagues, but all I know is WHAT A GAME for DRACUT 10 TRAVEL!!

My son Jacob plays baseball for Dracut Travel 10 (D-10) and on July 24, we played in the Highlands championship game against Chelmsford at the Bailey School in Lowell. Our game started about 7:40 p.m., and ended just about 9:47 p.m. This was by far the best baseball game I have ever seen in my life, and the crowd felt the same!

In the 1st inning, D-10 scores 4, Chelmsford 1; 2nd inning D-10 scores 2, Chelmsford scores 2; score 6-3. In the third inning D-10 scores 0, Chelmsford scores 9, yes 9! Score is 12-6. In the 4th inning, D-10 scores 5, Chelmsford scores 3. Score is now 15-11, Chelmsford.

In the 5th inning, D-10 scores 8, Chelmsford scores 3! Dracut 19-Chelmsford 18, In the 6th, Dracut wins the championship game, 20-19!

The Dracut D-10 team was invited to be honored by Lowell All-Americans. The owner of the Lowell All-Americans of the New England Collegiate Baseball League honored the Dracut team at a recent game. The players got to run out on the field with the All-Americans during pregame warm-ups and were introduced with them. After the introductions, they were welcome to stay for the remainder of the game.

I am SO proud of D-10’s amazing season and wanted to share this with you as well.
