• June 24, Summer Volunteer Training: Are you looking for something extra to do this summer? Are you entering grades 5, 6, or 7? Why not volunteer at the library on Thursday mornings from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. That’ s the day we have crafts and games for kids age2 to grade 2. You would run the craft tables and games. You don’ t need to volunteer every Thursday, just select the days you wish. A training session will be held at 1 p.m.

Are you entering grades 8-12? Do you need community service hours for school or church? Please consider the library. Your help is needed in the afternoons and evenings to shelve books in the Children’ s Room, tidy up the Children’s Room, prepare crafts and games for programs, decorate the Children’ s Room for summer reading, assist with the reading program. A training session will be held at 2:30 p.m.

• June 30, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday Show: Magician and ventriloquist Bob Carroll has a show that’ s sure to amaze. All ages welcome. Drop in. No registration required.

• July 1, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Wild Wednesdays: For those entering grades 3-6 only. Registraton is required and opens a week before each activity. Sorry, no phone or e-mail reservations. Astronaut testing and training. Can you make the cut? Earn your astronaut wings.

• July 2, New Library Hours,: Closing at 4:30 p.m.

• July 2, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Adventure Thursday: Space adventures. Every Thursday we’ll go on a different “adventure,” many based on a “space” movie. There will be plenty of crafts and games hosted by our wonderful summer volunteers. No registration required.

• July 6, 10:30 a.m., Musical Monday: A program for babies and toddlers. There will be rhymes, songs, instruments, puppets, and more. Drop in. No registration required.

• July 7, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday Show: Magician and ventriloquist Bob Carroll has a show that’s sure to amaze. All ages welcome. Drop in. No registration required.

• July 7, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Sewing With T-shirts: Sign-up required. Bring your own T-shirt and we will remake them for “cool” summer wearing. We will also make some large pillows for the YA section of the library.

• July 8, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Wild Wednesdays: For those entering grades 3-6 only. Registrøaton is required and opens a week before each activity. Sorry, no phone or e-mail reservations. Launch It! Make an air rocket and try to hit the bull’s eye in the target. Redesign your rocket for optimum performance. Prizes for the winners.
