LOWELL — The Youth Dance Company and fellow students of the Donna Miceli Dance Center (DMDC) of Lowell will be presenting “Shake, Break, Bounce” at the Tsongas Arena on Feb. 7, 3 p.m., as part of the Lowell’s Winterfest celebration.

This performance will include a variety of dance styles ranging from tap, jazz and hip hop, all set to popular music. The Lowell Winterfest offers a series of cultural events and family activities throughout the city, with the Tsongas Arena serving as the venue to showcase talent from around the New England area.

The Youth Dance Company, which serves as a preprofessional training vehicle for preteen through college aged dancers from the surrounding area, enjoys sharing its talent through community outreach. The group will follow up its Winterfest performances with shows on March 8 at the Tewksbury Hospital.

Some alumni of the company have gone on to tour with Broadway shows, the Rockettes, Disney, and premier cruise lines.
