The Greater Lawrence Kiwanis Club awarded the Methuen branch of the Merrimack Valley YMCA a $1,500 grant in support of the YMCA’s “Reach Out For Youth” program, which allows needy and deserving children with limited financial means to participate in youth programs, such at Itty Bitty Baseball, Youth Basketball League, Saturday Fun Club, My Y Time, Y-soccer, and Saturday Night Live.

“Many of the children who participate in our youth programs would not be able to afford to attend the Y without the support of individuals and organizations, such as the Greater Lawrence Kiwanas Club” said Jaime LaBelle, senior program director of the Methuen YMCA. “Due to the generosity of these scholarship dollars, the children can explore their academic, creative, and athletic abilities in a caring and safe setting.”
