BLACKTOP BASKETBALL PROGRAM: Registrations under way; begins on July 13. Teams will play eight four-on-four games. It’s open to boys and girls 14- 17. Cost of the program is $55 per player. Make checks payable to Town of Pelham.

Games are held at Dennis Lyons Memorial Park. We are planning on eight teams of eight players. Team reversible sleeveless tank tops will be included. Teens must provide own transportation. Coaches are needed. You will need to mark the form accordingly and then we will add you to the coaches list.

Registration forms will be available at our Web site, www.pelhamweb.com/recreation, or at the Parks and Recreation office, 6 Village Green. Signups will continue until a maximum of 64 players is reached. A waiting list will be held after that.

SUMMER PLAYGROUND CAMPS: For boys and girls 6-13 from July 7 to Aug. 15. The camps will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, Mammoth Road, Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Camps are broken down into one six-week session or two three-week sessions. Camps will be cancelled by rain, with no makeup dates. Before- and after-camp care will be available starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

Registration is already under way.

Cost for residents is $400 per child and $250 for each additional sibling for the six-week session, and $225 per person and $150 for each additional sibling for the three-week session.

Cost for nonresidents is $450 per child and $300 for each additional sibling for the six-week session, and $250 per person and $175 for each additional sibling for the three-week session.

Field trips are separate and charged individually.

The breakdown of the camps is as follows:

Juniors: Six-week program, July 7-Aug. 5, for children 6-8, with the 6-year-olds (as of July 1) in a separate group.

Intermediate: Six-week program, July 7-Aug. 5, for children 9-10;

Senior: Six-week program, July 7-Aug. 5, for children 11-13.

Junior Leader Program: For children entering the eighth grade. Must be 14 to apply.

TOTS SUMMER PLAYGROUND CAMP: A six-week camp for boys and girls 3-5 at the Elmer G. Raymond Memorial Park Lodge from July 8 to Aug. 14. The camp will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration is already under way. Space is limited. Residents’ cost is $200 per child and $125 for each additional siblings. Non-resident cost is $225 per child and $150 for each additional sibling. May not be combined with any other summer camp offering.

This program is subject to sufficient signups.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE: Accepting registrations for lacrosse lessons on Monday evenings from 6-7:30 for six weeks starting July 7. Instructional classes with Pelham High coach Bruce Brown. No experience necessary; open to girls 9-14 to introduce them to the sport of lacrosse. Each participant needs to bring a lacrosse stick and helmet. The cost is $10 per player. TENNIS LESSONS: Registration is under way for a program of 12 tennis lessons for children 5 to 13 starting July 7 at the Pelham High School Courts.

Beginners, intermediates and advanced players are all welcome. Lessons will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 8:30, 9:30 or 10:30, depending on placement.

Players must bring racket and one canister of tennis balls. Forms available at Pelham Parks and Recreation, 6 Village Green, or https: //webtrac.pelhamweb.com. SOCCER CAMP: Aug. 18-22, Muldoon Park soccer field; Elite UK soccer clinic; for boys/girls 4-12.
