Coffee hour is on July 31 at 10 a.m., with the topic of “Five Wishes.” It deals the living will, which talks about your personal, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as your medical wishes. If you become seriously ill, Five Wishes lets you say exactly how you wish to be treated. It also can help you and your family, friends and doctor know who you want or don’t want, how comfortable you want to be, what you want your loved ones to know and how you want people to treat you. Five Wishes will be featured on CNN, NBC’s Today show, and in Time and Money magazines. We have a number of copies of Five Wishes and a video that will be viewed on July 31 at the Dracut Council on Aging, “the best place in town.”

Joyce Shadan is the executive director of the Dracut Council on Aging.
