Wanda is the sweetest, most loyal girl you will ever meet, but she likes to get to know her friends first. She is a 2-year-old spayed sheltie/Pomeranian mix from Alabama.

Pets of the Week

She prefers to be with adults, as children move so quickly. Once she gets to know you, her favorite place is cuddling in your lap. They say that small-breed dogs often bond very strongly with their owners. She is nervous around new people at first, but she’ll stick to her new owners like glue once she gets to know them.

She is very loving and affectionate, and she’s looking for someone with patience, as she has not had much training. She enjoys walking on a leash, and the shelter staff has found her to be an easy walk.

Gucci is a very refined cat. With a name like that, she has to be. She’s a 7-year-old, grey-and-white female that has been spayed.

She has been fitted with a microchip. All the pets at the shelter have one now. It’s a fabulous idea because you never know when Gucci could get lost.

She was brought to the shelter in July because she doesn’t like kids or other pets, and in her home there were both. She’ll need a home where she’s the only pet and the only child. Otherwise, she is friendly and affectionate.

To adopt these pets, contact the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Humane Society is closed Wednesdays.
