DRACUT — As its number of clients grows, the directors of the Dracut Food Pantry are launching “Friends of the Dracut Food Pantry.”

Dracut residents who are interested in ways to help can sign up to be part of an e-mail list. Updates will be sent out via e-mail each month listing the pantry’s “most needed” items. Volunteers can drop off those items at the Dracut Central Fire Station on Pleasant Street before the next opening of the pantry.

The board of directors also encourages Dracut residents to find other creative ways to help keep the pantry stocked.

The opportunities for creativity and outreach to the local community are endless, and the board is willing to provide assistance.
