Billerica broke up a defensive struggle with two second-half touchdowns.
Zack Bassett and Danny Kelly led the Middies on both sides of ball as both were all over the field on defense and had some tough runs on offense. Patrick Noonan and Bobby Savarese made some big tackles, and Obie Amafuele blocked an extra-point attempt. On offense, Brian Bond made a nice catch on a option pass from Bassett. Brandon Lamphier also hooked up with Kelly on a big pass play. Marquise Tuff, Jason Breton, Nick Dubuque, Mike Maille, Keith Courtier and Jacob Albuja all blocked well up front.

The Dracut offense was led by Brett Gil who rushed for 110 yards and scored the team’s only touchdown. Tim Verdi with caught five for 60 yards, while Dave Sergi rushed or 55 yards. Leading the way defensively was Tim Verdi with two interceptions. Other standouts were Brandon Chim, Steve Carron, Jacey Hebert, Jacob Santos and Jonathan Scano.

Dracut stays undefeated at 3-0 with the romp. Scoring touchdowns were Jared Lennon, Dylan Ryan, Brandon Berniche and Zack Gray, who also ran for 100-plus yards. The conversions were scored by James MacDonald and Kyle Rubert, who rushed for one and kicked two others. The line of scrimmage was controlled by offensive linemen Zack Grant, Slade Sousa, Cameron Conley, Eddie Cortez and James Szadis. The defense, which posted its second shutout of the season, was led by Chris Emond, Owen Cormick, Anthony Sampson and Ryan Hunt, who had two fumble recoveries.

Dracut was led by Tyler Bassett, who rushed for four touchdowns, behind the blocking by Justin Kasilowski, Robert Culp and Brett Jackson. The defense did an outstanding job, sparked by Owen McAnespie’s interception. Sage Rabito and Tyler Ferris did a great job against the run. Special teams were led by Kevin Montbleau, who scooped up an onsides kick.

Brandon Giglio, Cameron Chausse, Jesse Siaglo, Mike Carroll and John Leahy led a smothering Dracut defense. The offense was led by Adam Beaudry, Ricky Goss and Justin Floranza, who scored the lone touchdown.

After a slow start the Middies produced a strong second half, with fantastic defensive play Robert Mcnamara and Tyler Malho. Joshua Beaudoin finished off the drive making plays in the backfield. Joe Donahue followed with a catch and sprung for some much-needed yardage and a first down. Matt Morris muscled two long gains inside the five but the Billerica defense held.
