Middlesex Community College offers a wide variety of career and personal- development courses. Classes are held days and evenings on the Bedford and Lowell campuses.

* QuickBooks (CE 3116 31): Learn to use this popular accounting software. No knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting or finances is required, but students must be comfortable with personal computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Students will also learn to use Microsoft Excel and Word for report analysis and letter writing. This 24-hour course meets from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, April 21 to June 16, on the Bedford Campus. The cost is $349.

* MS Project (CE 2950 31): This hands-on course will introduce you to the world of MSProject 2003 Professional through which you will learn the powerful features and functions to plan, execute and control your work. You will also learn about work breakdown structure, scheduling, tracking and controlling project tasks, resource management, adjusting schedules and cost analysis. You must be familiar with computers and project management. This nine-hour course meets Tuesdays, May 16 to May 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Bedford Campus. Cost is $199.

* Fast Track Computer Applications Certificate (CE 3400 30): Designed for individuals who need to upgrade computer skills. You will develop new skills using the most up-to-date hardware and software in today’s businesses. This program will help you hone your skills in MS Word, Excel and other MS Office Professional applications. You can earn your certificate in one semester. This is the perfect program for small business managers, entrepreneurs, educators and part-time employees. This 42-hour course meets Thursdays, May 17 though Aug. 16, from 6 from to 9 p.m. on the Bedford campus. Cost is $599.

* Digital Photography II (CE 7260 30): A continuation of Digital Photography I. It will expand on your knowledge of digital photography. Learn and feel more comfortable using your camera’s manual setting. Learn how to expose and compose beautiful photographs. Through class assignments, individual assignments, critique and guidance from the instructor you will work toward developing your own personal style of photography. This 18-hour course meets Tuesdays, April 24 through May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Bedford campus. Cost is $199.
