PELHAM — April is Poetry Month in libraries across the state. At the Pelham Library, Miss Debbie will start the month by exploring the poetry of Jack Prelutsky.

Prelutsky’s poetry is anything but boring, so come by to join in the fun and enjoy some of his humorous poetry.

Visitors can also see a preview of the T-shirt designs that are being offered for sale for the summer reading program. The theme for this summer is “Reading Road Trip, U.S.A.” You will be able to place an order and have your shirts in time for the big summer reading kickoff.

On April 6, the library will host the second in a series of poetry workshops presented by visiting poet Rae Marie Bruce. Families with children in Grade 1 through Grade 5 are participating in four sessions scheduled for consecutive Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p,m., which began on March 29, and will continue on April 5, April 12 and April 19.

Also on April 5, Marie Yanish will host an evening story time from 6 to 7 p.m. She will feature stories about the change of seasons.
