DRACUT — The Dracut Council on Aging is seeking submissions for its fifth annual Legacies Contest, a writing exercise that is open to all senior citizens.

The winners in each of the five categories will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will be held on April 6 at noon at the Dracut Council on Aging, 951 Mammoth Road.

The five essay categories are:

* Veterans’ memories;

* A challenge in your life;

* A story for your great-grandchildren;

* A spiritual experience;

* A funny or sentimental story.

Entries must be typed or be on a floppy disk or CD, and be up to three letter-sized pages. Entries must include your name, phone number and category in which you’re writing.

Submit entries to the Dracut Council on Aging, 951 Mammoth Road, Dracut, MA 01826. Deadline for entries is March 23. All contestants are invited to attend the April 6 awards ceremony and luncheon.
