* Karate with instructor Shihan Larry Giordano of the Methuen Karate Association.

* Satellite library with books on loan from Nevins Memorial Library.

* Methuen Police Basketball League for children ages 7 to 12.

* Weed and Seed Safe Haven Computer and Homework Center that serves more than 70 children daily.

* Summer recreation that enrolls 90 kids and provides breakfast and lunch.

* Saturday movie and crafts, which allows needy children to see the newly released movies their classmates have seen. PJ’s Pizza donates two slices of pizza for each child and Kathy Moran-Wallace, head of children’s services at Nevins Memorial Library, reads and then does a related craft.

* Job training and resume help for the adults in the neighborhood.

* Food Basket; M.A.N. Inc. provides 10 families with food baskets each week with the help of St. Andrew Church and Neighbors in Need; they gave out 104 baskets just for Thanksgiving and are expected to distribute 136 baskets for Christmas.

* Annual Christmas party, which gave gifts to 234 kids this year.

* National Night Out, which promotes public safety.
