Thwaites offers pork-pie alternative for finger food

METHUEN — Tired of putting the same old cheese and crackers out for hors d’oeuvres at your holiday party?

Thwaites Market on 34 Railroad St., has just the thing to add some pizzazz to the ever so popular finger foods — pork pies.

With 25 pies available, Thwaites offers the variety needed to make your party a hit.

From pork to chicken to broccoli and cheese, these little pies will have your guests asking, “Where did you ever find these little treasures?”

Thwaites also offers a variety of sausage, 14 to be exact, to help complete your holiday dinner, along with other meats and cheeses available for purchase.

Ken Greenwood has owned the market since 1981. He runs it with the help of his mother Barbara and other family members. The market was originally opened by his great-grandmother, Hannah Thwaite.
