DRACUT — Incumbents ruled the day in Dracut’s annual town election. School Committee members Ron Mercier and Nancy Mendonca both won second terms to the board garnering 1,455 and 1,315 votes respectively. Challenger Mike Thomas received 1,063 votes.

In the other contested races, Dennis “D.J.” Deeb won a fourth term to the Greater Lowell Technical High School Committee, besting challenger Gerard Hould by 414 votes, 1,356-942.

Mary Lee Matthews, a 20-year member of the Board of Library Trustees, coasted to victory, beating challenger Lance Isherwood by a margin of 1,712- 464.

A ballot question, asking voters to support the staggered election schedule for the five-member Board of Library Trustees, passed on a 1,546-275 vote.
