Champ is a sweet, loving 6-year-old Lab mix that was turned in when his owner, a retired police officer, died.
He loves people and attention will sit at your feet for hours. Champ is good with other dogs and cats. He is housebroken and good with children. He is a really nice, friendly dog that temperment-tested well and has no issues with food or toys.
He will need some basic obedience training to fully understand house rules, but he learns what is expected of him very quickly.
All dogs adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative and microchipped.
Adoption fee includes GDHS obedience lessons, too.

Other pets available through Derry Humane Society are Amber, a female Chocolate lab; JuJu a Shar Pei and Anakin, a young boxer.
Remember, for every pet that is purchased, not adopted, one dies in a shelter for lack of homes.
