DRACUT — The Moses Greeley Parker Memorial Library Enrichment foundation, a nonprofit organization established to enhance the public library and the community through fundraising oversight and donations to the library, is now accepting new members.

The foundation’s board meets quarterly and encourages residents who are interested in the library to join the group. Board officers are elected yearly. The next meeting of the foundation is April 19 at the Washington Savings Bank on Broadway Road. Future meetings will be held at the new library on Arlington Street.

The foundation donates money to the library for special items not covered under the library’s operating budget. Expanded children, teen, and adult programs are planned. There is a book account, as well as a project account currently in place. The foundation will also see that money donated to the library in memoriam is used as directed by the donors.

Last year’s fundraiser, the Dracut Library Golf Tournament, produced more than $11,000 for the library.

Anyone interested in working with the foundation or being on the board can contact Foundation President Linda Trouville at 978-455-4801.
