You heard the news and it is true. We did have a break-in but thanks to the great efforts of the Dracut police, the culprits are known and the damage restored. We know how lucky we were and believe me we are being very very careful.

Library Notes

Now for the better news. Beginning April 3, the library will be closed to the public, but on May 7 at 2:30 p.m., please join us for our “Celebration of Patience,” our grand preview of the new library on Arlington Street.

Everyone is welcome to do the first walkhrough from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

We will continue to do the very best we can to keep you updated on what is happening as we go. There are a couple of new pictures up on the Web page. Just use the links and watch us change.

We have had questions. Yes, if you feel you must return a book to the library while we are closed, you may use the book drops at the new library only. There is one specifically for videos and CDs.

Yes, you may use other libraries. However, if you borrow from another library, please return it to that library. We are not doing any interlibrary loans after we close.

We will continue to do the best we can to keep you informed. Thanks for your patience.

Susan Schwarz is the director of the Moses Greeley Parker Library.
