VALLEY DISPATCH STAFF, DRACUT — The Dracut Board of Health has scheduled the first flu clinic for residents on Nov. 8 at the Dracut American Legion Post 315, 700 Broadway Road.

Times are as follows:

* 9 a.m. to noon: Ages 65 and older;

* 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Ages 50 and older or high risk individuals with chronic medical conditions;

* 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Anyone ages 18 and older.

According to Thomas Boumil, Dracut Board of Health director, the board has been allotted 1,200 doses from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The town of Dracut has purchased 600 additional doses. “This amount is twice the amount we dispensed last year,” said Boumil, “so we feel we will have an adequate supply for the residents of Dracut.”

Future clinics will be scheduled as vaccine is available.

All Medicare participants are asked to bring their Part B cards as well as any Medicare HMO cards. There is a $5 charge for non-Medicare individuals.
