BOSTON -- For 21 years, The Wiggles have been the go-to band for the preschool set, entertaining and educating the little guys with their music and antics.
This fall, the zany quartet from the Land Down Under makes their farewell tour before turning in their colored skivvies for other pursuits.
Before saying "adieu," they visit Boston on last time at the Orpheum Theatre, Hamilton Place, Thursday, Oct. 11, in performances at 2:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Three Wiggles -- Greg (Yellow), Murray (Red) and Anthony (Blue) -- met while studying early childhood education at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. They wrote music to get jobs as teachers after school, and then teamed with Jeff (Purple), a pal of Anthony's in the 1980s band The Cockroaches.
The rest is kiddie music history.
