Junior guard Shane Aylward netted 10 points and played airtight defense in sparking the Tewksbury High boys basketball team to a commanding 50-31 victory over visiting Tyngsboro during non-league action Sunday.
The Redmen rolled out to a 26-11 halftime lead and were never threatened.
Sophomore guard Ryne Rametta added 14 points, senior forward Connor Brinklow collected 10 points, and senior forward Jack Kelly was another standout with 9 points and 8 rebounds for Tewksbury (3-15).
For Tyngsboro, Jason Kelly led the way with 10 points. Ryan Gauthier and Phil Sutherland each netted 5 points.
All 11 of Westford Academy's players scored in the non-league home victory with senior captain Adam Scaramuzzo leading the way with 18 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.
WA led from the opening tip and had strong contributions from juniors Declan Morse (9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks) and Josh Rosenstein (10 points, 2 steals).
Scott Beattie claimed 9 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Ben Lawrence added 3 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Connor Doherty dished out an assist to become Lowell Catholic's all-time leading scorer and the Crusaders finished unbeaten in the league as the CCL Small School champions Saturday.
