Trailing 1-0 at halftime and then 2-0, the host Gryphons rallied for the CAC tie with a pair of late goals.

Matt Barbosa scored on a penalty kick with 20 minutes left to pull Greater Lowell (1-1-2) within a goal. Then Paul Choate set up Jared Marchand for the tying tally with six minutes remaining.

Enrico Nuttoli starred at forward and Jair Dos Reis was terrific in the midfield. Goalkeeper Carlos Nicolaus made 8 saves, including a pair of spectacular ones late in the game to preserve the tie.

Shawsheen 1

Northeast 1

Down 1-0, Shawsheen tallied the equalizer with just three minutes to play to earn the CAC Large School tie.

Gavin Pigott rocketed a shot that Northeast goalie blocked but could not corral. Jason Myers pounced on the rebound and scored his third goal in the past two games for the Rams.

Starring for Shawsheen were Joe Hansen, Amaan Shaikh, Dan Archibald and Billy Hartshorn.

Bromfield 3

Littleton 1

Despite a 13-save performance from Gavin Bergeron, the Tigers dropped the Mid-Wach encounter.

Littleton's goal was tallied by Adam Zaferacopoulos following a pass from Reed Cherry.

Dracut 2

Billerica 0

Goals by junior forward Brendan Davis and senior defender Matthew Robichaud lifted the Middies to the MVC victory.

In the 15th minute, Dracut took a 1-0 lead when sophomore forward Cameron Downer set up Davis for his goal. In the 63rd minute, Robichaud scored on a penalty kick.

Junior goalkeeper Tyler Flick made 4 saves.

For Dracut, junior defender James Meli, senior defender Edwin Bonilla and junior midfielder Aimen Boumedien were terrific.
