Lowell 6, North Andover 1

Justin Villanueva pitched 4 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2 in Lowell's win Monday night. Tommy Cannon followed for an inning, fanning 2, while William Schmidt and Yandel Tineo closed out the final 2 innings on the mound.

Edgar Velazquez had 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Aidan Foyle and Villanueva also had 2 hits each. Brett Lepoer had a triple and an RBI and Tommy Cannon had a double and an RBI. Thomas Hassett, Yandel Tineo and Josh Gath also had hits for Lowell (12-4).

14-15 Division

Chelmsford 2, North Reading 1

Chelmsford remained red hot with its fifth straight victory thanks to solid pitching and defense.

Nate Ware was 2-for-2, while Jon Barry and Jake Monaghan had an RBI each. Chelmsford is now 11-5.

Billerica Floggers 7, Lawrence 3

The Floggers (16-2) closed out the regular season and clinched first place and home field advantage throughout the playoffs with the victory.

Anthony Nelson got the win, going 6 innings and striking out 9. Justin Beecher came on in relief and struck out the side in the final inning.

Jake Nelson and Sean Hines both collected 2 hits for the Floggers. Mike Whalen, Ben Marasco, Dylan Salk and Anthony Nelson all had hits.

Chairman's Cup

North Chelmsford 4, Tyngsboro 2

Dean McCann drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth and North Chelmsford added an insurance run in Monday's victory.

Pitching well for the winners were Justin Watt (5 2/3 innings, 6 strikeouts, 3 walks, 5 hits) and Matt Landers (3 1/3 innings, 5 K's, 1 walk, 3 hits).

Ben Sauter collected 2 hits, while Mike Tice, Bryce Dion, Jack Hansbury (2 RBI) and Conor Barry all added a hit. Nate Brinkerhoff had a huge bunt in the ninth to move runners into scoring position.

Medford 2, Billerica 1

Host Medford won the game in the bottom of the seventh with a walkoff single, spoiling a strong outing from Billerica's Matt Lucia, who went the distance on the mound.

Lucia struck out 4, and allowed 5 hits and no walks. Nate Doiron drove in Billerica's lone run, while Erik Eknaian had 2 hits. Center fielder Cam Climo played well defensively.

Medford advances, while Billerica was eliminated.
