It took 10 innings, but Lowell Shedd captured a 6-3 victory over host Chelmsford during a Suburban Pony League 14-15 Division thriller Wednesday.

In the top of the 10th, Mike Mercuri singled home Sean Keene, who had doubled, with the go-ahead run. Sean Bryan added insurance by reaching first on a bobbled ball.
Bryan earned the win after allowing 1 hit with 6 strikeouts in 5 scoreless innings after taking over for Bret Edwards (5 innings, 3 hits).
Matt Smith went 3-for-5 for Shedd, while Mercuri went 2-for-4. Henry Funaro doubled home a pair of runs. EJ Hession made a great defensive play for Lowell.
The Floggers (7-0) fell behind 2-0 after the first two innings, but scratched out a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to complete the comeback victory.
Craig Rich threw a complete-game 3-hitter with 5 strikeouts to get the win. Rich also led the offense with 2 hits, including a double and a stolen base. Also collecting hits for the Floggers were Mike Whalen (steal, walk, run scored), Alex Frawley (steal, run scored), Gavin Tierney (RBI), Dylan Salk (2 steals, run scored) and Ryan Cummiskey.
North Chelmsford 9
Mike Tice hammered a home run to support the complete-game pitching of Justin Watt (9 K's, 9 hits, 1 walk) on Tuesday.
Other offensive stars were Ben Sauter (triple, 2 runs), Quinn Jackson (triple), Bryce Dion (double), Derek Adamson (double) and Dean McCann (2 runs). Nate Brinkerhoff and Alex Hill scored a run each.
Evan Gys has 3 hits and 4 RBI and Nick Hayward pitched 6 strong innings and had a hit as Dracut soared.
David Leal closed out the game for Dracut and Jared Watson scored 2 runs and had 2 hits. Nick Tierney had 2 hits, and also adding safeties were Mike Goodin, Danny Powers and Steve Plowman. Outstanding defensive plays were made by Dan Gacek, Dan O'Connell, Spencer Parsons and Pat Carney.
Dracut trailed Billerica for most of the game until a big fifth inning decided things.
Nick Tierney was outstanding on the mound and Adam Otoski closed out the game with a 1-2-3 last inning.
Offensively, Dracut was led by Tierney, Nick Hayward and Evan Gys, while Jared Watson scored 2 runs and Pat Carney had 3 walks and scored a run. Derrick Therriault, Jared Watson and Tim Cahill were outstanding tracking down fly balls in the gaps.
Gacek, Carney, David Leal and Spencer Parsons were strong in the infield.
