North Chelmsford rode a strong pitching performance from Mike Tice to a 4-3 American Legion Zone 5 victory over host Tyngsboro on Saturday.

Tice went 8 innings and allowed 4 hits while striking out 8.

Offensively, McCann, Sauter, Adamsn, Barry, Jackson and Brinkerhoff led the charge for Chelmsford.

Sean Engel took the loss on the mound for Tyngsboro. Logan Kuzmitch had a 2-run double and Craig Maxfield was solid defensively at shortstop.

Billerica Floggers 5

Chelmsford 3

Ben Marasco threw a complete game, giving up only 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 10 in 7 innings to keep the Floggers undefeated at 5-0.

Offensively Marasco had a double and an RBI while Alex Frawley drove in two runs on a hit and a sacrifice fly. Sean Hines, Dylan Salk and Mike Whalen also had hits.

Lowell Highlands 4

Brian Hoey, Mike Mercuri and Marc Beland split up the pitching chores for Shedd Park.

Sean Keene had 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI, Henry Funaro had 2 hits and 1 RBI, Sean Bryan had 3 hits with a double and 3 RBI, Mercuri had 2 hits and an RBI, James Smith had 2 hits and 3 RBI and Frank Feltes was 2-for-3 with a ribbie.

Lowell

The Lowell team won two out of three this week, beating Wilmington 10-0 as Brian Calllery and Thomas Hassett combined on a no-hitter, then topping Andover 9-7 before falling to Dracut 15-14.

Against Andover, Brett Lepoer was dominant on the mound for Lowell scattering 6 hits over 6 innings while striking out 7 and allowing only 1 earned run.

Among the offensive heroes were Tommy Cannon, Edgar Velazquez, Justin Villanueva, Brian Callery, Tim Scott, John Donovan, and Shivi Patel.

Against Dracut, Cannon and Patel had 2 hits each Callery, Tim Scott, William Schmidt and Yandel Tineo had 1 hit apiec.
