Jamie Ray hit 3 triples for No. 17 Shawsheen Tech, which finishes 9-10. Danielle Cacciola went 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored.
Shawsheen's Kennedy Harper, who sustained broken and fractured bones in her face during a game last week the result of a fly ball that hit her in the face, returned to the lineup as the DP Saturday.
Lowell Catholic 5
Allison Moylan pitched a 2-hitter and also contributed 2 hits and 2 RBI as No. 10 seed Lowell Catholic downed No. 7 Winthrop in this first-round game.
Lowell Catholic (13-8) advances to a quarterfinal on Tuesday versus the winner of Sunday's Austin Prep at Mt. Alvernia first-round game.
Moylan walked one and struck out six over seven innings. Winthrop's run was unearned.

Grafton, the defending Division 2 state champion, broke open a close game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Brooke Bogacz pitched a strong game for Tyngsboro. Bogacz notched 4 strikeouts and only allowed 1 walk.
Senior righty Mike Curtis pitched well for Wilmington, allowing 5 hits while striking out 8 in 6 innings.
Masconomet (19-2) scored 3 runs in the second inning and added a run in the sixth inning.
Jimmy Davey paced Wilmington's offense with 2 hits, including a double. Curtis and Corey Stillings had 1 hit each for Wilmington (14-8).
