LOWELL -- Top-seeded Burlington leads 19 local softball teams into MIAA Tournament battle after the pairings were announced Tuesday.

Burlington (16-2) is the top seed in Division 2 North.

Six of the 24 teams in Division 1 North field hail from the Lowell area: No. 2 Concord-Carlisle (17-3), No. 7 Chelmsford (15-5), No. 11 Central Catholic (14-6), No. 13 Lowell (13-6), No. 15 Billerica (13-7) and No. 19 Westford Academy (12-8).

In Division 2 North, Burlington is joined by No. 6 Tewksbury (14-6), No. 9 Dracut (12-7) and No. 14 Bedford (6-12).

The Division 3 North field consists of five local squads: No. 10 Lowell Catholic (12-8), No. 15 Austin Prep (10-9), No. 16 Greater Lowell Tech (8-8), No. 17 Shawsheen Tech (9-9) and No. 19 Notre Dame Academy (10-10).

Meanwhile, Groton-Dunstable, Tyngsboro, Littleton and Nashoba Tech qualified in Central Mass.

Groton-Dunstable (10-10) is the No. 10 seed in Division 1 Central. Tyngsboro (11-8) earned the No. 8 seed in Division 2 Central.

In the Division 3 Central field, Littleton (13-5) is the No. 4 seed and Nashoba Tech (10-10) is the No. 14 seed.
