TYNGSBORO -- Colleen Martin and Paige DePasquale of Notre Dame Academy were double-winners while leading Notre Dame Academy to the girls team championship at the Commonwealth Athletic Conference Championship Track Meet at Greater Lowell Tech.
Martin finished first in the high jump (4-8) and 300 low hurdles (71.18), while DePasquale won the shot put (32-.5) and discus (109-10.5). Notre Dame finished the meet with 164 points.
Greater Lowell Tech won the boys team title with 153 points. Joe Bernardini led the way for the Gryphons, posting first-place finishes in the shot put (43-2.5) and discus (106-0).
Notre Dame Academy
The Lancers also got first-place finishes from Cathryn MacGregor in the javelin (115-3), Abby French in the 2-mile (12:12), Taylor Willis in the 100 (12.87), Maeve Norton in the mile (5:45), Abby Morelli in the 800 (2:38) and the 4x400 relay team (Maeve Norton, Justine Morelli, Abby Morelli, Carsyn Fisher) in a time of 4:31.
Coming through with second-place finishes were Justine Morelli in the 800 and Julia Smith in the discus.
Madison Odryna in the shot put, Cassandra Valin in the 2-mile, Emily Paquette in the mile, Carsyn Fisher in the 400 and Anneka Paelinck in the 800 notched third-place finishes.
Greater Lowell Tech
Aregilis Lizardo finished first in the 200 (22.68) and third in the 100 while helping the Gryphons capture the title.
Winston Smith finished first in the high hurdles.
Brian Keefe in the javelin, Korey Martin in the low hurdles, Bryan Va in the 2-mile and David Caron in the 800 posted second-place finishes.
The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also placed second.
Tapiwa Mungate (100), Mike Roman (200), Randy Brown (mile) and Korey Martin (high hurdles) came through with third-place finishes.
The Gryphon girls finished in fourth place in the team standings with 54 points. Macy Lapan led the way for the Greater Lowell girls with a first-place finish in the triple jump (30-7).
Mariah Marrero was second in the mile. The Gryphons' posted a second-place finish in the 4x100 relay.
Leslie Fortunato was third in the high jump. The 4x400 relay team finished third.
The Shawsheen girls finished in sixth place in the team standings with 41 points.
Holly DeCourcey was second in the triple jump, while Jania Kennedy was third in the high hurdles.
The Shawsheen boys finished fifth in the team standings with 30 points.
